PhD Seminar Series

This seminar series is primarily addressed to PhD researchers from different backgrounds (law, bioengineering, medicine, philosophy), faculty members at the host institution, representative of stakeholders and civil society organizations.
The seminars will provide participants with an in-depth understanding of crucial legal, scientific, ethical issues raised by technological convergence and introduce them to the relevant international academic debate. The cross- disciplinary approach to research is meant to give PhD researchers essential technical tools in order to critically assess the dynamic of the interaction of law, science and technology in XXI Century from a European perspective.
To encourage further autonomous research in this field, PhD researchers can be involved, upon request, in the preparation of the seminars, or assigned topics to write papers on the issues discussed under the supervision of the ELaTe Teaching Staff.
All sessions are open to the public.
